Welcome to Transcend Learning Services! I'm excited to be a part of your educational journey. With over a decade of teaching experience, I've had the privilege of working with thousands of students, from elementary to adult, both online and face-to-face, in diverse settings across the world. My teaching adventures began in the United States, where I've taught in Virginia, Hawaii, and Washington state, but have also taken me internationally to Kuwait and Japan.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics Education from Christopher Newport University, as well as a PhD in Educational Technology from Walden University. My passion for education and technology drives me to create engaging, effective learning experiences tailored to each student's unique needs.

Athletics played a significant role in shaping who I am today. As a 4-year college softball player and coach for 3 years, I learned the value of grit, discipline, and teamwork—skills I bring to my teaching every day. My time on the field taught me that success isn't about winning every game but about consistently showing up, working hard, and pushing through challenges. These lessons resonate deeply with how I approach education. Now, as a mother of four, I draw on those same lessons of perseverance and balance to help students overcome their academic hurdles with confidence and a sense of purpose.

As a military spouse of over 20 years, I understand the unique challenges and opportunities faced by families who move and transition frequently. Whether due to military service, job changes, or other life circumstances, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with families navigating new schools and adapting to different educational systems. My experience allows me to help students stay on track with their academic goals, no matter where life takes them.
